Bonus, malus: how it works

The whole system of compulsory liability motivates people to drive without accidents. Who rides without a code, get a discount on insurance, bonus. In most cases, there is a 5% discount on insurance for every 12 months without an accident.

In 2007, nkte will reach a bonus of 35 percent. According to the connected year, the maximum bonus is about 40 percent of their client. When going the way of an accident, the price of the insurance premium increases, the price is a small malus. V ppad, em dosaen
bonus, the price of the obligatory guarantee increases by a malus of more than 10 percent for each code caused. When, for example, a 25% bonus is going to come out, it is reduced by a total of 10 percent and the rate of the mandatory guarantee for it will also be advantageous with a 15% bonus.

If the method of code goes with a basic rate, the insurance premium for each code caused is paid a small amount of 50 percent. The maximum malus can reach up to 200 percent, and the bond costs two times more. We can show it on a model example. Assume that the basic rate of compulsory liability is 3600 crowns. For five years of driving without an accident, the driver of this car received a 25 percent bonus, so he would pay 2,700 crowns. If he caused the code next year, the insurance company would write 10% malus and would pay 3060 crowns.

Be careful, it is not always possible to go to a cheaper one

If the same person caused the code in the first year of insurance, when the jet did not reach the bonus day, its mandatory cancellation would be 50 percent expensive and would pay 5400 crowns. Pojiovny although they use malus, but the whole system is still lame. go, which causes an accident and threatens to malus him, so I can call and go to another connection. If it has not been confirmed by a non-refundable course (bonus), the insurance company will insure it for the basic rate. Any accident caused will therefore not be reflected in the price.

Abroad, there is a database where information on the number of accidents is collected. It is not a problem to find out whether the client who is interested in insurance has not caused any insurance event, and to apply a malus accordingly. The register is being worked on in the Czech Republic.
It will be a database of keys in the compulsory liability, to which they will have a connection access to verify the history of the applicant for compulsory liability. The registry should be operational in five years.
