The central bank increased its key annual rate by a quarter of a percentage point in June, with effect from 27 July. Banks will show their products in advance about the final development of their products, also the rate of mortgage rates was not surprising. The two-day NB repo rate currently reaches 3%, which is the highest value since 2002.

The number of new mortgages has been a big dream

Compared to the previous month, there was a very sharp drop in mortgage sales in July. Their total number was less than three thousand, the volume decreased by as much as eight billion crowns. But it’s not just you years that are to blame. In June, mortgage transactions reached their all-time high, and the comparison base is high. There is a clear noticeable seasonal development of the mortgage business, when after the early spring months there is a small and dark silence in summer.
