The leak specialist Evan Blass revealed, on Thursday (3), the first image of what he says is the new Moto G with Snapdragon 800. The cell phone had its production confirmed by Motorola last Tuesday (1). during the Qualcomm Tech Summit Digital 2020.
The photo released by him shows only the front of the smartphone, which for now has been codenamed “Motorola Nio”, without revealing further details of the device’s design. In the image, you can see two holes in the upper left corner of the screen, where the double selfie camera is located, according to the leaker.
Touted to debut in 2021, the first Moto G equipped with a Snapdragon 800 series processor is not expected to feature the latest chipset released by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888. Rumors point to the use of the 865 version, still placing it among the models top of the line brand.

As for the dual front camera displayed in the leak, the sensors should be 16 MP primary and 8 MP ultrawide secondary. At the rear, the set will likely have a 64MP main lens, a 16MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for blurring effects.
Motorola Nio’s data sheet is being kept confidential. But it is speculated that the manufacturer will equip it with at least 8GB of RAM and storage capacity starting at 128GB, as well as including a 5,000 mAh battery, Full HD+ screen with a rate of 90 Hz and Android 11.
There are also indications that it will feature DisplayPort Alternate Mode. This function allows you to connect it to external monitors by cable, using the device’s USB-C connection, turning the smartphone into a desktop, similar to what the Samsung DeX does.
No information regarding the launch of the Moto G with Snapdragon 8xx has been released by Motorola so far.
